New Features and Bug Fixes

The update, distributed with the build number CP31.260618.005, was made available shortly after the Beta 5 release last week. In this version, Google addressed various bugs and introduced features aimed at enhancing user experience. According to the change log, users can now select multiple spell check languages.

The issue with the volume buttons not functioning as expected in the clock app has been resolved, along with visual glitches occurring when switching between media players in the Quick Settings panel. Additionally, a bug causing certain apps to crash due to the WindowManagerGlobal component has been fixed.

Google continues to enhance the Health Connect app. With the new version, the app can now track and store distance and calorie data, making health and exercise records more comprehensive.

Devices using desktop window mode also see some changes. The icons on the taskbar are now positioned in the lower-left corner instead of the bottom center. Additionally, Picture-in-Picture (PiP) windows can now be moved more freely across the screen, whereas in previous versions, these windows could only be fixed to either the right or left side of the screen.

Android 17 QPR1 Beta 6 is available for models starting from the Pixel 6 series, including Pixel 7, Pixel 8, Pixel 9, and Pixel 10 series, as well as the Pixel Tablet series.
