Literature and cinema come together in a competition where Murat Gülsoy, Vuslat Saraçoğlu, and Zeynep Atakan will serve as jurors.
The 33rd International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival, organized by the Adana Metropolitan Municipality, will take place from September 26 to October 4, 2026, and will feature the Literature Adaptation Feature Film Screenplay Competition with its jury members now announced. As the application countdown continues to encourage the adaptation of literary works to the silver screen, candidates can submit their projects until Monday, August 17.
The Main Jury, responsible for reviewing the screenplay projects, includes Murat Gülsoy, a recipient of the Sait Faik, Yunus Nadi, and Sedat Simavi awards and a distinguished writer in Turkish literature, alongside Vuslat Saraçoğlu, the acclaimed director of films like “Borç” and “Bildiğin Gibi Değil”, as well as producer Zeynep Atakan, known for collaborating with renowned directors like Kutluğ Ataman, Tayfun Pirselimoğlu, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, and Theo Angelopoulos.
The Pre-Jury, which will present the projects to the main jury for evaluation, comprises film critic and screenwriter Burak Göral, writer and screenwriter Doğu Yücel, and well-known novelist Hakan Bıçakcı.
The winner of the competition will be announced during the grand closing and award ceremony of the festival on the evening of October 3, Saturday.
