Snapchat, Türkiye’de Resmi Temsilci Atadı

According to a statement by İfade.org, the popular social media platform Snapchat has opted to appoint a “real person” representative instead of establishing a legal entity (company/branch) in Turkey, selecting Selin Beceni as the local representative. Consequently, Snapchat has fulfilled its obligation to have a representative in Turkey, joining other foreign platforms such as VKontakte, YouTube, TikTok, Dailymotion, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. Foreign-based social network providers with a daily reach of over one million from Turkey are required to designate at least one representative in Turkey to comply with notifications, demands issued by the BTK, ESB, or judicial and administrative authorities, as well as to respond to applications made under the Law and fulfill other obligations.
