Nothing Phone 3 kamera örnekleri sahte
Nothing recently launched the Nothing Phone 3 equipped with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. The company thoroughly introduced its new camera system featuring a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP periscope, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP front camera. It was revealed that the photos shown on a demo device in one of the brand’s stores were licensed stock images.

The photographer behind one of the images contacted The Verge, confirming that it wasn’t taken with the Phone 3, and that Nothing had purchased the photo license from Stills stock photo site. The Verge reviewed the photo’s EXIF data and validated that it was not taken using the Phone 3. The EXIF data revealed that it was actually captured in 2023, well before the Phone 3 release.

Another image was identified to have been taken by Roman Fox using a Fujifilm XH2s camera in 2023. Interestingly, this was accompanied by the message “Make up your own mind. Here are photos from our community taken with the Phone 3.

Nothing: An Unfortunate Oversight!

In response to fan backlash, Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis issued an apology, calling the incident a “unfortunate oversight” on X. He explained that the demo software’s initial version was supposed to include placeholder photos until four months before the phone’s release and planned to replace those with actual photo samples post-mass production, but some models weren’t updated.

It’s not uncommon for companies to use professional photographs in their smartphone camera promotions without clarification. For instance, it was revealed that a scene in the Huawei Nova 3 advertisement, which appeared to be shot with the phone, was actually taken with a DSLR camera, and the actor in the ad was not even holding the phone. Samsung had similarly used a DSLR in the example of the Galaxy A8 camera.
