Naval battles are making a comeback

According to obtained files, there are clear references to two different naval vehicles in the game. These references mention jet skis and inflatable boats. The file names also directly point to Battlefield 6. Furthermore, there is an emphasis on the MP, meaning multiplayer mode, in the file paths.

It is reported that these files indicate fully-fledged naval warfare. The Battlefield series has stood out for its large-scale battles that balanced naval, land, and air elements, especially during the Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 eras. However, Battlefield 2042 deviated from this formula, facing criticism from players. The new report suggests that Battlefield 6 aims to return to its roots, rectifying past mistakes and bringing back the classic Battlefield experience.

Recently, EA and Battlefield Studios stated that they have “clearly heard” player feedback and emphasized that many of these demands would be addressed in the new game.
