Disney+’s latest original film, “Kalender Pide,” brings together Tolga Çevik and İbrahim Büyükak for the first time in the same project.
On May 2nd, Disney+ will release the trailer for its new original comedy film “Kalender Pide.” This film unites two of Turkey’s beloved comedic talents, Tolga Çevik and İbrahim Büyükak, for the first time, featuring an amusing storyline and a remarkable cast. The screenplay is written by İbrahim Büyükak, while Ömer Sinir takes on the directorial role. The production is managed by Fırat Parlak and Koray Şahin.
“Kalender Pide” revolves around a pide shop that is in danger of being sold due to financial struggles. The restaurant owner, Kalender (played by Tolga Çevik), teams up with the eccentric Öcü (İbrahim Büyükak), who unexpectedly enters his life, and together they search for ways to save the restaurant. As their friendship develops through absurd events and various surprises involving neighborhood residents, viewers can expect plenty of entertaining moments.
Joining Çevik and Büyükak in the film are well-known actors Esra Ruşan, Almila Ada, Mustafa Kırantepe, and Gafur Uzuner. The released trailer hints at a warm, fast-paced narrative promising a heartfelt, laughter-filled family comedy. “Kalender Pide” will be available exclusively on Disney+ starting May 2nd, bringing the warmth of local comedy to screens.
