The Odyssey Teaser Trailer Leaked Online!
The Odyssey film’s first teaser trailer debuted alongside Universal’s other film, Jurassic World: Dominion, in theaters. However, despite director Christopher Nolan and the studio planning to showcase the trailer exclusively in cinemas, things didn’t go as intended. Videos shot by theatergoers on their mobile phones started to circulate on social media and YouTube.
We inquired with Universal Pictures whether they would officially release The Odyssey’s teaser trailer online.
The teaser begins with the voice of Eumaeus, Odysseus’s slave and friend, addressing someone as “my lord.” The identity of this person remains unclear.
The teaser showcases rapid shots of the Mediterranean and the Trojan Horse on the shore, transitioning to a meeting between Odysseus’s son Telemachus (Tom Holland) and King Menelaus, played by Jon Bernthal.

Telemachus is searching for information about his father Odysseus (Matt Damon), who has been missing since the Trojan War, where Menelaus fought alongside him.
Menelaus informs Telemachus that there are various rumors about his father’s fate, dismissing the idea of imprisonment with sarcasm: “What prison could hold such a man?”
Odysseus is only seen from a distance or from behind, adding to the mystery of the legendary figure.
Lupita N’yongo also appears briefly as Menelaus’s wife, Helen of Troy, whose beauty sparked the launch of a thousand ships and ignited the Trojan War.
