Meta, Yeni Ray-Ban Akıllı Gözlüğünde Ekran Kullanacak
Meta, the parent company of Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, is reportedly integrating a screen into its new Ray-Ban smart glasses according to emerging information.
According to information obtained by Bloomberg, the new Ray-Ban smart glasses, internally codenamed “Hypernova,” will feature a screen not present in the current version. This screen will be located beneath the right lens and will be visible when looking down. The model, expected to launch by the end of the year, will have various applications thanks to its screen and can be controlled via a touch surface on the side of the frame. It is claimed that the product, which can also be managed using hand gestures thanks to its built-in camera, will be priced at over $1,000. The high-level smart glasses will be powered by advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, enabling environmental perception and natural vocal communication, and reports indicate that work is already underway on the next version, codenamed Hypernova 2, which is said to include two screens.
Last month, Meta introduced a new augmented reality glasses called Aria Gen 2. This new version of Project Aria, originally unveiled for research and testing about five years ago, features a PPG sensor that enables heart rate detection. Weighing 75 grams, the product can perform voice-based person detection using built-in microphones and comes with AI-supported features such as speech recognition and hand tracking. The augmented reality glasses, equipped with integrated speakers, can blend virtual content with reality. According to Meta, the product boasts an eight-hour battery life and will be available for academic and commercial research labs in the coming months. This model will not be sold to end-users.
