Samsung announced earlier this year that it had partnered with Hyundai Motor Group to introduce new features related to vehicles for its smart home platform SmartThings. At that time, it was unclear when the feature would be available. Now, it appears that Samsung is ready to launch this feature (Home to Car).
SmartThings Home To Car
Home To Car will allow SmartThings users to check the status of their vehicles through the app. Users will also have control over functions such as climate control, door locks, and engine start, and can even set up automated routines. For example, the car can be started and the air conditioning turned on when the smart home door is locked.
Samsung will initially launch this feature for users in South Korea, followed by a rollout to other countries. Additionally, since this feature is based on the collaboration between Samsung and Hyundai Motor Group, it will be compatible with certain Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles.
SmartThings Safe

Alongside Home to Car, Samsung is also launching a feature called SmartThings Safe. This feature allows you to send your GPS location and a help request to predetermined contacts with a single touch in emergencies. Those contacts can view your help request from any devices that support SmartThings.
