Indie game studio Monte Gallo has shared the first gameplay trailer for their highly anticipated new game, Better Than Dead. This first-person shooter (FPS) promises a unique experience with its photorealistic graphics and unconventional body camera angle, already raising the excitement level.
In the two-minute video released, we see a focus on the dark atmosphere of Better Than Dead’s environments and intense combat scenes. The game is developed using the Unreal Engine 5 and published by the renowned game company MicroProse.
Story of Better Than Dead
The story unfolds in the chaotic back alleys of Hong Kong. The main character is a woman who has been abused and oppressed. Armed with only a gun, a body camera, and a list for revenge, those who once forced their way into her life and tried to destroy her are now the hunted. Every second of her revenge is recorded through the body camera.
The game’s narrative is inspired by classic Hong Kong action films from the 80s and 90s. The Steam page has recently launched, where players can find images and a brief introduction to the game. However, the release date and the platforms on which Better Than Dead will be available are still unspecified.
