BYD, Seal 08 ve Sealion 08 İsimli İki Yeni Modeli Tanıtıyor

Both models are based on the Ocean S concept vehicle showcased at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2025. This concept first revealed BYD’s new Ocean Aesthetic 2.0 design language. Seal 08 and Sealion 08 are expected to embody this design philosophy in mass production.

While technical details are not yet confirmed, it’s reported that the Sealion 08 will measure 5,040 mm in length and approximately 2,950 mm in wheelbase. The model is said to feature a 2+3+2 seating arrangement, offering space for seven occupants. These dimensions make the Sealion 08 one of the largest SUV models in BYD’s Ocean series.

BYD’s Ocean series, established in November 2021, quickly attained significant sales success. According to the company’s statement, the Ocean family has surpassed a total sales figure of 6 million units. Each of the Song Plus (Seal U), Seagull, Dolphin, and Seal models has achieved sales of over 1 million units.

With the Seal 08 and Sealion 08 models, BYD aims to elevate the Ocean series to the premium segment and enhance its competitiveness against global brands, particularly Tesla and European manufacturers. All technical details and official information regarding the models are expected to be revealed during the launch in the first quarter of 2026.
