Ikea has launched a range of balcony solar energy kits for consumers in Germany, aimed at promoting sustainable energy solutions. The company offers four different packages tailored to various needs, integrating energy storage systems as well.

The most affordable option, the “Stream Complete Package,” is available for a starting price of 449 euros including VAT. This package includes two 450 W solar panels, an 800 W microinverter, connecting cables, and a mounting kit.

Plug-and-play clean energy solutions

For those interested in energy storage, the “Stream Complete Package M” is offered. This package includes two 450 W panels (with an option to upgrade to 520 W) and a 1.92 kWh capacity “Stream Pro Battery.” Prices start at 1,229 euros. Users can also opt for the improved “Stream Ultra Battery” for an additional fee of 60 euros, maintaining the same capacity.

The most comprehensive package, “Stream Complete Package XL,” comes with four panels and includes both the “Stream Ultra Battery” and an additional “Stream AC Pro” battery. Prices start from 2,230 euros, going up to 2,761 euros for four 520 W panels and adjustable mounting systems.

Significant savings on bills

In Germany, households with electric water heating systems consume an average of 6,300 kWh annually in single-family homes and 4,500 kWh in apartments. With Ikea’s systems, it is possible to meet almost half of the electricity needs in apartment buildings. In Turkey, domestic energy consumption is significantly lower than in Germany, making similar installations even more advantageous.

Ikea also offers Ecoflow energy storage solutions independently, with prices ranging from 799 to 1,049 euros. The balcony solar kits are designed for both individual users and Ikea Business Network members.

Considering Ikea’s recent release of residential heat pumps in Germany, this move illustrates the company’s swift diversification into renewable home energy solutions. Ikea is already active in many markets, including Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the UK with its roof-mounted solar system brand “Solstrale.”
