Since September 30, 2024, Samsung has prohibited users of Tizen-enabled wearable devices from downloading paid content from the Galaxy Store. By May 31, 2025, downloading free content will also no longer be possible. By the end of September 2025, users will be unable to re-download any content they have previously purchased from the Galaxy Store.

Potential Samsung Wearable Devices Facing Support Termination in September 2025

Although Samsung has not disclosed a list of wearable devices that will lose support after September 2025, the following products are likely to be phased out:

Samsung Gear S3 Classic
Samsung Gear S3 Frontier

Galaxy Watch Series (Tizen-based)

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3

The Galaxy Watch 4 series and subsequent models, which come with Wear OS, will not be affected by this transition. On the TV side, the Tizen OS continues to run, with Samsung even providing seven years of support.
