Trump, Tesla’nın Büyüyen Tek İşini Olumsuz Etkiledi

Trump’tan Tesla’ya bir darbe
While Tesla’s electric vehicle division has seen a decline in 2024, accelerating in 2025, its energy sector has consistently shown growth. This growth is particularly bolstered by Tesla’s Megapack and Powerwall 3 systems, which rely on LFP battery cells imported from China.
The new tariffs announced by President Trump, which impose a 54% tax on imports from China, indicate that prices for Tesla’s Powerwall and Megapack energy storage products will rise significantly. This price increase could potentially reduce market demand.

Tesla’nın enerji depolama alanında Çin’e bağımlılığı
It’s known that most of Tesla’s products in the energy storage sector utilize LFP cells from the Chinese company CATL. Last year, there were rumors about Tesla planning to establish an LFP battery production facility in the USA in collaboration with CATL, but these plans have yet to materialize.
Additionally, Tesla has begun production of Megapacks at a new Megafactory in China. The battery systems produced there are intended for export to markets outside the US, seen as a step to enhance Tesla’s international competitiveness. However, Tesla now faces increased competition as its battery suppliers, CATL and BYD, have recently introduced competing products to the Megapack.
Tesla also has plans for a second Megafactory in the US to boost Megapack production. However, how these new tariffs will impact those plans remains uncertain.
